These strange fish represent thoughts. All our thoughts are things and move either toward the light or toward the darkness. Often my thoughts are a partnering of unlikely elements with several directions happening simultaneously, several seemingly impossible dichotomies eventually flowing together and repeating rhythmically over time.

This is another vision from meditation. Just behind our physical existence is our astral being, or our body of light and thought. In this place, we are not bounded by the flesh, by gravity or by material duality. All is peace, calmness, order and joy. This picture represents the fruit of meditation.

This image was inspired by meditating upon The Divine Mother. I saw Her in my mind’s eye as an indescribably lovely female figure alone in a dark wood. She extended her arms in blessing and floated just above the ground, radiating youth and innocence. Around this time, my friend Ted Slipchinsky asked me to work with him on recording one of his original songs called “The Lady of the Light”. His music, not surprisingly, expressed the exact same energy as this image.

I like to remember that all of my thoughts are germinating seeds and will grow into mighty trees, beautiful flowers or abundant and luscious fruit. In this painting, thoughts are depicted as gems evolving upward into flowers.

I sketched the original version of this image late at night in my meditation room. It represents individual faith, determination and will. With these, we can guide the flow of events in our life, not be washed down stream by them. We are the cause of our reality.

This image speaks for itself I think. I see our planet as a precious and delicate thing, the care and love of which is handed down from generation to generation. I saw this image in a meditation last fall and subsequently used it in the design of the DVD cover for Grass Roots, a documentary film by Bruce Geisler for which I was writing the music at the time. The music for this image is very upbeat, because I see great hope for the future of the planet and of us.

This is an ageless master, depicted as a Westerner, meditating in oneness with Universal Cause atop a Himalayan mountain peak. He still has a physical form but all of his life’s energy has become an offering to his Divine Causal Essence and God's Light has become his being. He is untouched by duality, desire or worldly consciousness. He represents human potential.

This painting of a supercell was inspired by a number of very powerful storm images I found while researching weather phenomena last summer. It was portentous of strong upheavals in my own life. The perfectly serene reflection beneath the storm is suggestive of how I often view such events in my own life. In objective serenity, even the worst events can seem peaceful and as such can be surrendered.
